Puppy Purchase Agreement

Purchase Price: The total purchase price for the Puppy is $________________ (USD).

Deposit: Buyer agrees to pay a non-refundable deposit of $________________ to Seller upon signing this Agreement (or upon reserving the Puppy). This deposit secures the Puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price. The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to Buyer’s change of mind, inability to take possession, or any other reason.

Payment Terms: The remaining balance of $________________ is due in full [cash, certified check, zelle, apply pay] at the time of pickup/delivery. The Puppy will not be released until full payment is received.

Pickup and Delivery:

• The Puppy will be ready for pickup on or after [approximate date: _______________].

• Buyer must pick up the Puppy within four (4) days of the agreed readiness date. If Buyer fails to pick up within this period, Buyer forfeits the entire deposit, and Seller may resell the Puppy to another buyer without further obligation.

• Arrangements for boarding the Puppy beyond the 4-day period can be made for an additional fee of $____ per day (or as mutually agreed).

• Transport/shipping can be arranged at Buyer’s expense (e.g., flight nanny, ground transport). Seller will assist in coordination but is not responsible for transport risks or costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Health and Registration:

• The Puppy has been vet-checked, received age-appropriate first vaccinations, and deworming as applicable. Seller will provide vaccination records, health certificate (if required), and AKC registration papers (limited).

• Buyer is encouraged to have the Puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within two weeks of receipt at Buyer’s expense. Seller provides no additional health guarantees beyond the initial vet check and vaccinations provided.

No Refunds Policy:

• Once the sale is complete (full payment received and Puppy transferred), the Puppy is sold as-is and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

• Buyer acknowledges that owning a dog, particularly a Golden Retriever, is a lifelong commitment (typically 10–15 years). Buyer agrees to provide proper care, including food, shelter, veterinary care, exercise, and love.

• If Buyer is unable or unwilling to keep the Puppy at any time (including if Seller must rehome the Puppy due to Buyer’s breach, neglect, or other issues), no refund of any amount (deposit or purchase price) will be provided. Seller may rehome the Puppy at their discretion, and Buyer waives any claim to reimbursement.

• This policy reflects the time, care, and resources invested by Seller in raising, and preparing the Puppy.

Additional Terms:

• The Puppy is sold as a companion/pet (unless otherwise specified). If limited AKC registration applies, the Puppy may not be bred, and progeny are not eligible for AKC registration.

• Buyer agrees to spay/neuter the Puppy by one year of age and provide proof if applicable.

• Seller reserves the right to refuse or cancel any sale if, in Seller’s opinion, it is not in the Puppy’s best interest.

• This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. Any changes must be in writing and signed by both.

• Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts.

Buyer Acknowledgment:

I have read, understand, and agree to all terms of this Agreement, including the non-refundable nature of the deposit and full purchase price, the no-refund policy, the 4-day pickup requirement, and the lifelong commitment required for a Golden Retriever.
